Anthony Stephens put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2025 on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Cleveland Central's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 7-14 when he doesn't).

Stephens' strong effort led Cleveland Central over Holmes County Central and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves are a perfect 9-0 against the Jaguars going back to March of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
