Softball Game Preview: Parowan Rams vs. Delta Rabbits

The Parowan Rams will square off against the Delta Rabbits at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parowan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Parowan fell victim to Enterprise and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Wolves. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Parowan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryann Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Providence Hall.

Kate Chase made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Joslyn Christiansen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Parowan's loss dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-15.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Parowan hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Delta struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Everything went Parowan's way against Delta when the teams last played back in March, as Parowan made off with an 11-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
