Basketball Game Preview: Kimball Knights vs. Carter Cowboys

The Kimball Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Carter Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kimball knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matchups -- so hopefully Carter likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Kimball humbled Roosevelt with an 82-49 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Carter had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They breezed by the Bulldogs to the tune of 81-16. The Cowboys are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 12th contest they've won by 20+ points this season.

Carter pushed their record up to 26-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Kimball, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Kimball beat Carter 63-51 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kimball since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
