The Vanguard School is 8-2 against Ellicott since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Vanguard School picked up another tournament win on Friday. They blew past Manitou Springs, posting a 62-28 victory. The Coursers have beaten the Mustangs the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Ellicott waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Demons, sneaking past 37-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Thunderhawks have posted since January 8th.

Ellicott's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points on average over those games. As for The Vanguard School, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

The Vanguard School and Ellicott were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but The Vanguard School came up empty-handed after a 55-54 defeat. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ellicott's Kassiah Ducworth, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards.
