Football Recap: Trinity Episcopal Starts off Right with Win over North Cross

Trinity Episcopal had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the North Cross Raiders by a score of 36-28 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Deacon Skogen threw for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 19 passes. Deuce Mason was his top target, picking up 142 receiving yards. On the ground, Cj Gray rushed for 87 yards.

North Cross' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Trinity Episcopal will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Fork Union Military Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The contest will give the Titans their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for North Cross, they will head out to challenge St. Michael the Archangel at 5:00 p.m. on September 6.
