Basketball Recap: Fort Worth Christian Comes Up Short

Fort Worth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Trinity Christian Lions, falling 79-47. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1215th, while the Lions are ranked 347th).

Trinity Christian was led to victory by Jet Naegele and Lucai Anderson. Naegele went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points along with six boards and three steals, while Anderson went 7 for 14 on his way to 23 points and three steals. Anderson's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Zavian Willis was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Fort Worth Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Trinity Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.
