Morton waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 52-48 W against the Streator Bulldogs. Given the Potters' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Morton's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Streator, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 23-7.

Looking ahead, Morton will welcome Normal University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Streator, they will head out to square off against Pekin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Streator is facing Pekin at the right time seeing as Pekin is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
