Gretna had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Elkhorn Antlers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Lily Zimmerman was the offensive standout of the game as she had 13 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Ava Nowling, who had four digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: Gretna was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elkhorn only served four aces.

Despite the loss, Elkhorn still got an impressive performance from Bailey Ferguson, who had 11 digs and four assists.

Gretna's record now sits at 16-4. As for Elkhorn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Gretna has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Seward on the 20th. As for Elkhorn, they will welcome Douglas County West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
