Basketball Recap: Louisburg Takes a Loss

Louisburg saw some tournament action on Monday. They were dealt a 57-30 loss at the hands of the Riverside-Durham Pirates. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Louisburg lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaylen Alexander, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

TJ Stokley went supernova for Riverside-Durham, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Taylor, who earned six points.

Louisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Riverside-Durham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Louisburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-41 loss against East Wake on the 31st. As for Riverside-Durham, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-53 defeat against Jordan on the 31st.
