Soccer Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Spring Valley has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Russell Red Devils. If Spring Valley were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to Russell when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Duke Elkins and Levi Yeoman scored both of Spring Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-2. As for Russell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Spring Valley will host Parkersburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Russell, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against East Carter on the 1st.
