League recap: Northwest extends undefeated streak to six games

Northwest (16-6, 5-3) is riding a league-best 6-game winning streak. In the past week, the Jaguars won another two games, including a 7-6 victory over Arundel.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase currently sits at the top of the league with a mark of 14-7 overall and 4-1 in the league. Quince Orchard is in second place, -0.5 game behind with a 6-2 record in league play.

Whitman's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only nine hits and three walks, both of which led the league. The Vikings' pitchers have been charged with only 81 hits and have struck out 131 batters. Michael Flack is tops on the staff with 70 Ks.
