David Crockett saw some tournament action on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Unicoi County 78-43. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 20 points or more this season.

David Crockett can attribute much of their success to Aaliyah Story, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Brylee Tullock, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Story a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was Laney Britton, who posted 12 points.
David Crockett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Tennessee hadn't done well against Elizabethton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Tennessee walked away with a 56-47 win over Elizabethton.
Tennessee's win came from a few key players David Crockett will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Addie Wilhoit, who went 6-for-15 en route to 18 points and three steals. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Jones, who went 8-for-17 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals.
David Crockett pushed their record up to 29-3 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points over those games. As for Tennessee, their record is now 11-16.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: David Crockett has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tennessee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
