Softball Game Preview: Thrall Tigers vs. Lexington Eagles

For the second straight game, Thrall will face off against Lexington. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Thrall fell victim to Lexington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly two runs.

Miley Pokorny spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Thrall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adelynn Bishop, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Lexington has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Thrall, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
