Volleyball Recap: Garrett Memorial Christian Takes a Loss

Garrett Memorial Christian lost against Word of God Academy on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Saints took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Force. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Word of God Academy found their leader in sophomore Kallie Pizarro, who had 12 digs.

Garrett Memorial Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Word of God Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Garrett Memorial Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Emerson at 4:30 p.m. on October 2. As for Word of God Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Trinity Christian on the 20th.
