Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 52-19 loss at the hands of the Herscher Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 39-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Grace Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zoey Baldridge, who posted six points. Baldridge has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Herscher, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Grace Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-25 win against Illinois Lutheran on the 5th. As for Herscher, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-34 victory against Lisle on the 5th.
