After flying high against DSST: Conservatory Green last Wednesday, Kennedy came back down to earth. The Commanders lost 3-0 to the Manual Thunderbolts on Friday. The Commanders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-18.

Leading Manual to victory were Danny Flores and Abraham Munoz. Flores had 18 digs, while Munoz had 14 assists and three aces. Those three aces gave Munoz a new career-high.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Manual, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-9.

Kennedy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Denver West at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Manual, they will head out on the road to face off against DSST: Cedar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
