Volleyball Recap: Richland Falls Short of Delone Catholic in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Richland can now relate to. They fell just short of the Delone Catholic Squires by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Richland started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Richland lost, don't look at Hailey Buck. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs and four assists.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 31-6-2. As for Delone Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delone Catholic, they will square off against Pine Grove at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
