Basketball Game Preview: McLaughlin Phoenix vs. Oasis Christian Lions

On Saturday, McLaughlin took a blow against Bridge to Independence, falling 83-20. While losing is never fun, the Phoenix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 792nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 376th).

Meanwhile, Oasis Christian had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 46-42 victory over Ridgeview Global Studies Academy on Thursday.

Oasis Christian's win came from a few key players McLaughlin will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zach Shannon, who posted 14 points. Jesse Howell was another key player, putting up 11 points.

McLaughlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Oasis Christian, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
