Baseball Recap: Bendle Triumphs

Bendle proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 23) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy Dragons, sneaking past 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Alex Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Juma Mkakile, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bendle's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Bendle will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Genesee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Coleman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
