Volleyball Game Preview: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Open Door Christian Patriots

The Western Reserve Blue Devils will square off against the Open Door Christian Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Western Reserve comes in on three and Open Door Christian on 11.

Western Reserve can't be too worried about heading out to take on Open Door Christian: they just beat Heartland Christian at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Open Door Christian made easy work of Rittman on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-12.

Open Door Christian's win came from a few key players Western Reserve will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sammy Comer, who had 18 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Pruitt, who had 36 assists and four digs.

Open Door Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Western Reserve, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
