Martin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Roma, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Tigers never let the Gladiators get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Alan Ornelas's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aldo Alarcon, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Edgar Garcia, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Martin hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive contests.

Martin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Roma, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martin will face off against Calhoun at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roma, they will challenge Palmview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
