Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders, falling 72-34. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

Holy Cross lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jeeanna Pierantoni, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nafi Balde, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.
