The Clermont Northeastern Rockets lost to the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets back in January of 2023, but the Clermont Northeastern Rockets didn't allow the Fayetteville-Perry Rockets the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Clermont Northeastern snuck past Fayetteville-Perry with a 39-35 victory.
Clermont Northeastern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Yeager out in front who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks. Yeager is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Symon Mattes, who scored 13 points.
Clermont Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Fayetteville-Perry, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.
Clermont Northeastern will head out on the road to take on Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Georgetown and Clermont Northeastern are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Manchester is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
