It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dripping Springs had no problem doing just that on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kingwood Mustangs a 3-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Thursday, they had to take a 8-5 defeat.

Dripping Springs is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Kingwood, the loss snapped their winning streak at 16 games and leaves them with a 37-4 record.
