Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Marlboro County's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Marlboro County took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Loris, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since March 14th.

Marlboro County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Loris, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-9.

As of now, neither Marlboro County nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
