Soccer Game Preview: Foley vs. Fairhope

Foley hasn't had much luck against Fairhope recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Foley will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairhope at 7:15 p.m.

Foley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Friday, they were much more limited against Daphne on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, Foley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Daphne are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Fairhope made easy work of Gulf Shores on Thursday and carried off a 4-1 victory. Considering Fairhope have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Fairhope and bumps their season record up to 7-4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two games. As for Foley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-2.
