Basketball Game Preview: Moscow Bears vs. Lake City Timberwolves

Moscow is 1-9 against Lake City since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Moscow Bears will welcome the Lake City Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m.

Moscow's tournament run continued when they took on Bonners Ferry on Friday. The match between Moscow and Bonners Ferry didn't end well, with Moscow falling 66-50. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Badgers are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Lake City had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They strolled past the Wolfpack with points to spare, taking the game 64-46.

Moscow's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lake City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Things could have been worse for Moscow, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-52 loss to Lake City in their previous meeting back in February of 2024.
