Volleyball Recap: Central Cabarrus Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central Cabarrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Central Cabarrus actually scored more points across those five sets (107-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-12.

Central Cabarrus' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Central Cabarrus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Hickory Ridge on the 26th. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against South Rowan on the 26th.
