Softball Recap: Cedar Hill Comes Up Short

Cedar Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Horn Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-4 back in March.

Cedar Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily WILLIAMS, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and two runs. WILLIAMS is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Cedar Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Horn, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9-1 record this season.

Cedar Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Horn, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.19 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
