Volleyball Recap: King/Drew Golden Eagles vs. Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears

King/Drew lost against Port of Los Angeles back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Eagles fell 3-1 to the Polar Bears. While the Golden Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Polar Bears 25-16 in the first set.

King/Drew started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-18.

King/Drew's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luz Gavira, who had 15 assists and 12 digs. Kennedy De La Garza was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.
