Faith Christian Academy extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 5-1 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Christ Prep Academy Patriots. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by eight runs or more this season.

Max McMillen made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). McMillen was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Caed Gibler was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. Justus Standlea was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Christ Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-13. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 3.75 runs allowed.

On Christ Prep Academy's side, Garrett Ford was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Ford has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hudson Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Faith Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christ Prep Academy, they will face off against Shawnee Mission South at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
