Basketball Recap: Alhambra Comes Up Short

Alhambra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 57-47 to the Fairfax Stampede. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-50 two weeks ago.

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Fairfax, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alhambra won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Central will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Alhambra surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fairfax, they and Metro Tech will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Fairfax is facing Metro Tech at the right time seeing as Metro Tech is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
