Baseball Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

New Castle came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to the Beaver Bobcats. The Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Dominic Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Beaver, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, New Castle will welcome Fox Chapel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Beaver, they will take on Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
