Football Recap: Valley Head Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Valley Head took on Spring Garden on Friday. The Tigers were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 58-23. The Tigers gained 106 more yards on the day, but it was the Panthers that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Valley Head lost, don't look at Tytan Blevins. Despite the final result, he rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 219 yards and a pair of TDs.

Brady Ruark had a dynamite game For Spring Garden., rushing for 120 yards and five scores on only 11 carries. Zane Edwards was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and one TD on only five carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Valley Head and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Spring Garden, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Head will square off against North Sand Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Bison have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Spring Garden, they will challenge Cedar Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
