Soccer Game Preview: Waccamaw vs. Hillcrest

The Waccamaw Warriors will face off against the Hillcrest Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Waccamaw will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Waccamaw's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Loris with a sharp 4-0 victory. The Warriors' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

They hit Loris with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Charlie Withington, Colby Constable, Sam Miller, and Malaki Hernandez.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hillcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over T.L. Hanna on Tuesday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hillcrest pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Waccamaw, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
