Preview: Park Tudor Panthers vs. Fountain Central Mustangs

After four games on the road, Park Tudor is heading back home. They will take on The Fountain Central Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Park Tudor's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.

Last Friday, Park Tudor humbled Edinburgh with a 65-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Park Tudor, who have now won eight contests by 34 points or more so far this season.

Dj (darrell) gordon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 173 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. (darrell) gordon was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Another player making a difference was William Harris, who gained 73 total yards and three touchdowns.

Fountain Central fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They blew past Parke Heritage 51-18 on the road. The result was nothing new for Fountain Central, who have now won three matchups by 33 points or more so far this season.

Fountain Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Acton out in front who rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Foxworthy, who threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes.

Park Tudor's win was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian and 1-8 Edinburgh (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 19.7% over those games). Fountain Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We should be in store for an exciting game Friday as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Park Tudor has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 408.7 total yards per game. However, it's not like Fountain Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 383.9 per game. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.

Park Tudor strolled past Fountain Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 42-26. Will Park Tudor repeat their success, or does Fountain Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
