Volleyball Recap: Intrinsic Find Success

The Intrinsic Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Pritzker Jaguars on Monday.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (66-65) Intrinsic actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 15-25, 25-22.

Intrinsic can attribute much of their success to Nery Paredes, who had 21 digs. Those 21 digs gave Paredes a new career-high.

Intrinsic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Pritzker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Intrinsic has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Disney II on the 15th. As for Pritzker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mansueto on the 14th.
