Recap: Weatherford Kangaroos vs. Timber Creek Falcons
After flying high against the Texas City Stingarees on Friday, the Weatherford Kangaroos came back down to earth. Weatherford took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timber Creek. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Weatherford in their matchups with Timber Creek: they've now lost five in a row.
Luke Stern was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 15 points along with 4 steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Robert Moore was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Weatherford has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Timber Creek, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weatherford's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Northwest will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Timber Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Aledo at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
