Volleyball Recap: Lincolnview Lancers vs. Parkway Panthers
Lincolnview lost against Parkway back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lancers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. While the Lancers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-12 in the first set.
Lincolnview started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 12-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-10.
Ila Hughes paced Lincolnview's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hughes got some help from Makynlee Dickinson and her 37 assists.
Parkway found their leader in sophomore KJae Stover, who had 25 assists and 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Stover. Hadley Stover was another key player, getting eight digs and three aces.
This is the second loss in a row for Lincolnview and nudges their season record down to 8-3. As for Parkway, their record now sits at 11-1.
Looking ahead, Lincolnview will take on Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway, they will face off against New Bremen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
