Basketball Game Preview: Harrisburg Christian vs. New Covenant Christian Flames

Harrisburg Christian just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the New Covenant Christian Flames at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Harrisburg Christian came up short against Mount Calvary Christian and fell 58-47.

Meanwhile, New Covenant Christian entered their tilt with West Shore Christian Academy on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They had just enough and edged West Shore Christian Academy out 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Flames have posted since December 17, 2024.

New Covenant Christian's win came from a few key players Harrisburg Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alexander Hart, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Talan VanderPloog, who posted 16 points.

New Covenant Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.1 points per game. As for Harrisburg Christian, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.
