Basketball Recap: Calhoun Academy Takes Down Briarfield Academy in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Calhoun Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Briarfield Academy Rebels by a score of 52-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-50 back in December of 2024.

Calhoun Academy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-12 record this season. As for Briarfield Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.

Looking ahead, Calhoun Academy will challenge Columbus Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Briarfield Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
