It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Apple Valley had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-6 victory over the Charter Oak Chargers. 35 seems to be a good number for the Sun Devils as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Apple Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Higgs, who rushed for 61 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Jacob Cabrera handled things on the ground, rushing for 89 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Apple Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 323 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Apple Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jordan Martinez-Ortega.

Despite the loss, Charter Oak still got an impressive performance from Antonio Reasby, who picked up 89 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Apple Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Charter Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
