Basketball Game Preview: CALS Early College Falcons vs. Community Charter Titans

The CALS Early College Falcons will square off against the Community Charter Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

CALS Early College can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a 65-33 loss at the hands of CHAMPS. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The losing side was boosted by Jaylin Tate, who posted 16 points. Ricky Rosas was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, Community Charter played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 61-35 to Fulton. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.

CALS Early College will have to contain Edem Ladzekpo as he made an impact in Community Charter's last game. He dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 boards. The contest was Ladzekpo's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Aaron Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

CALS Early College might still be hurting after the 51-26 defeat they got from Community Charter when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
