Recap: Madison Dragons vs. North Bend Central Tigers
The Madison Dragons managed to keep up with the North Bend Central Tigers until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Madison ended up on the wrong side of a rough 55-30 walloping at the hands of the Tigers. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Madison in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
Jose Velez and Bodonn Sweeney certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Velez scored 12 points along with two steals, while Sweeney scored eight points.
Madison dropped their record down to 9-6 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Bend Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Madison will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Neligh-Oakdale has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. As for North Bend Central, they will square off against the Pendragons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pender is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
