Baseball Recap: NorthWood Takes a Loss

NorthWood lost against Concord back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Minutemen by a score of 8-7. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Connor Reed and Landon Perry did some serious damage despite the final result: Reed went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple, while Perry went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Perry's first of the season. Nathan Shrock was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

NorthWood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Concord, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NorthWood will venture away from home to challenge Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 11.8 runs per game this season. As for Concord, they are taking a road trip to take on Plymouth at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
