Baseball Game Preview: Sage Hill Lightning vs. Irvine Vaqueros

Sage Hill is 1-7 against Irvine since February of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Lightning will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vaqueros at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Sage Hill blew St. Margaret's out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday St. Margaret's got their revenge. The Lightning fell just short of the Tartans by a score of 4-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sage Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jad Rigley, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double was Rigley's first of the season.
