Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Yellowjackets vs. Sioux City West Wolverines

The Jefferson Yellowjackets will host the Sioux City West Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Sioux City North and lost 70-54. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly 16 points.

Meanwhile, Sioux City West played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Lincoln, falling 80-37. The game marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Sioux City West, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Jefferson didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sioux City West in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 63-57 win.
