Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for St. David's

St. David waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 30-26 W against the Cary Christian Knights. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Knights last Tuesday, they had to take a 29-24 loss.

St. David's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna Hauser out in front who posted nine points along with eight boards and eight steals. Hauser is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Wilder, who scored ten points and three steals.

Morgan McMillan and Brooke Myers certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McMillan shot 63% from the field en route to 10 points, while Myers earned three points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

St. David's win bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Cary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.

Coming up, St. David's and GRACE Christian will face off at 5:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Cary Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
