Baseball Game Preview: John Paul II Guardians vs. John Paul II Centurions

The John Paul II Guardians will venture away from home to square off against the John Paul II Centurions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither the Guardians nor the Centurions posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

The Guardians came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Knights, falling 10-0. The shutout was out of character for the Guardians seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for the Centurions' offense. They lost 17-0 to the Eagles on Friday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Centurions were not able to get on the board.

The Centurions' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for the Guardians, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

The Guardians couldn't quite finish off the Centurions in their previous matchup back in March and fell 4-2. Can the Guardians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
