Soccer Recap: Willows Academy's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Willows Academy was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Cristo Rey St. Martin last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Latin Romans by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Willows Academy were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Latin apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Willows Academy's goal came courtesy of Maria Paschall, which was the first she's scored this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Willows Academy fell to 4-1. As for Latin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Willows Academy didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Homewood-Flossmoor on the 12th. As for Latin, they have also already played their next match, a 4-3 defeat against Lincoln Park on the 14th.
